Meditation and Emotions
(Workshop/Mental Health Prevention Project)
Project Status: Active. Seeking partners to organize workshops.
Project Description: The project aims to teach participants effective strategies for coping with emotions through the practice of meditation.
Workshop Overview: A project where learning meditation and guided meditation (from various traditions) supports participants in learning to cope with daily difficult emotions.
The meditation currently being practiced is Metta meditation ‑ lovingkindness, from the Buddhist tradition. The course of the workshops can be adapted to the individual needs of participants, and may include a theoretical part (concerning emotions, secular ethics, or, at the request of participants, knowledge of Buddhism), as well as an opportunity to ask questions.
Cooperation:
The Foundation provides an experienced workshop facilitator. Partners are expected to:
- Venue: Provide a suitable space for conducting the workshops.
- Promotion: Reach out to potential participants and enroll them.
